5-1/2" Torsion Spring Winding Cone – Right-Hand Wound

This Raynor-style winding cone is designed for compatible right-hand-wound torsion springs with a 5-1/2-inch inside diameter. It provides the winding-bar openings and set-screw connection needed to tension the spring and secure it to the torsion shaft.

Compatibility

Use only with a compatible 5-1/2-inch-ID, right-hand-wound torsion spring using Raynor-style fittings.

Confirm the spring’s inside diameter, wind direction, wire size, shaft diameter and existing cone style before ordering. Raynor-style cones should not be assumed interchangeable with standard or OHD-style components.

Installation and Safety

Torsion springs operate under extreme tension. Installation and winding should be performed by a trained garage-door professional using winding bars that fit the cone correctly.

Never use screwdrivers, extensions or improvised rods for winding. Confirm that the set screws properly engage the shaft and test the door’s balance and travel after installation.
