EMX WEL-200T Wireless Safety Edge Transmitter – 915 MHz, 8.2K / 10K Compatible

The EMX WEL-200T connects one compatible resistive safety edge to an EMX WEL-200R receiver through a wireless link. Use it to replace a compatible transmitter or add another sensing edge to an existing WEL-200 system.

The transmitter mounts near the sensing edge on the moving gate or door. A short wired connection joins the edge to the transmitter, which communicates edge activation and fault information to the receiver. This eliminates the moving cable between the edge assembly and the operator-side receiver.

RECEIVER & GENERATION COMPATIBILITY

Confirm the circuit-board generation before replacing or adding a transmitter:

• Green circuit boards pair only with other green WEL-200 boards.
• Red and black WEL-200 circuit boards can work together.

The WEL-200T model name alone does not establish compatibility across every production generation. Check the existing receiver’s board color and revision before ordering.

One compatible WEL-200R receiver supports up to four transmitters. Each additional edge requires its own transmitter.

SENSING-EDGE COMPATIBILITY

Requires an edge with a built-in terminating resistor within the specified range. Compatible 8.2K and 10K monitored edges are supported.

Non-resistive edges do not work with this transmitter. Do not substitute an ordinary contact edge, pneumatic switch, or diode-capacitor edge.

Normally closed, 10K, and pulsed operator connections are functions of the WEL-200R receiver. The transmitter itself does not connect directly to the operator’s safety terminals.

WHAT YOU ARE BUYING

Receiver and sensing edge are not included. A complete new installation requires both, plus the appropriate operator wiring and mounting hardware.

INSTALLATION NOTES

Pair the transmitter with a compatible receiver and assign it to the correct protection direction according to the system instructions.

Maintain clear line of sight throughout gate or door travel. Mount the receiver outside the operator enclosure and keep its antenna area clear of metal obstructions.

Secure the edge cable with proper strain relief and orient cable entries to prevent water intrusion. Use the specified batteries; do not select replacements solely by AA size.

SAFETY WARNINGS

Installation and testing must be performed by qualified personnel. Disconnect operator power and battery backup before servicing wiring.

Test edge activation, wireless communication, and required fault responses before returning the equipment to automatic operation. Never bypass monitoring or defeat a fault indication.

This transmitter requires a functioning sensing edge and receiver to provide a safety signal. It does not detect obstructions by itself.
