The Genie 34538R is a genuine magnetic up/open limit switch designed for select Genie and Overhead Door Chain Glide garage door openers.

Mounted near the powerhead end of the opener rail, the switch detects when the carriage reaches the programmed fully open position and signals the opener to stop upward travel.

This is the WIDE 1-3/8" version with a white wire. It should not be confused with the narrower 3/4" Genie Excelerator limit switch.

### What Does It Do?

The 34538R determines where a compatible Genie Chain Glide opener stops when opening the garage door.

As the carriage approaches the fully open position, its magnetic actuator triggers the limit switch.

The opener then stops the motor at the correct open position.
