Miller Edge RBand RB-G-K10 Monitored Wireless Gate Edge Kit – Transmitter & Receiver
The Miller Edge RBand RB-G-K10 is a monitored wireless safety-edge system designed to eliminate the need for a hard-wired connection between a moving gate sensing edge and the gate operator.
The system includes an RB-TX10 wireless edge transmitter and RB-G-RX10 receiver. The transmitter connects to a compatible Miller Edge 10K resistive monitored sensing edge, then wirelessly communicates edge status to the receiver mounted at the gate operator.
Designed for compatible UL 325 gate systems, RBand provides a monitored connection while reducing the need for coil cords, retractable cable reels, or other moving wired connections.
Sensing edge sold separately. This kit requires a compatible Miller Edge 10K/T2 monitored sensing edge with blue-band termination and an operator approved for the receiver’s output configuration.

Wireless range depends on antenna placement, obstructions, mounting conditions, and radio interference. Verify communication throughout the gate’s complete travel rather than relying only on a stationary pairing test.
How It Works
The sensing edge connects directly to the RB-TX10 transmitter mounted on the moving gate.
When the sensing edge is activated, the transmitter communicates wirelessly with the RB-G-RX10 receiver installed at the gate operator.
The receiver then sends the appropriate signal to the operator’s monitored safety-edge input.
This eliminates the need to run a moving electrical cable between the gate and stationary operator. The sensing edge still requires a local wired connection to the transmitter, and the receiver requires power and wiring to the operator.
10K & Normally Closed Operator Compatibility
The RB-G-RX10 receiver provides connections for:
-
10K monitored operator inputs
-
Compatible normally closed monitored operator interfaces
This allows the system to work with different gate operators when the exact equipment combination is approved and properly configured.
Compatibility depends on the gate operator model, control-board version, and monitored entrapment-protection input. A matching brand name or supply voltage alone does not establish compatibility.
For normally closed monitored applications, the A TEST connection and the operator-specific configuration are required. Connecting only the normally closed output does not establish the complete monitored interface.
Follow the Miller Edge wiring diagram and the operator manufacturer’s instructions for the exact installation. Do not substitute this kit for a pulsed-output system unless the operator documentation specifically approves the arrangement.
Compatible Sensing Edge
The RB-TX10 transmitter is designed for a:
Miller Edge 10K Resistive Monitored Sensing Edge — T2 / Blue-Band Termination
The sensing edge is not included with this kit.
Always verify the edge termination before ordering. Do not substitute a T3 diode-capacitor edge, an 8.2K edge, a pneumatic switch, or an ordinary non-monitored contact for the specified 10K/T2 edge.
The sensing-edge profile, length, mounting arrangement, and placement must also suit the gate and the entrapment zone being protected.
Multiple Edge Capability
The two-channel receiver can support:
-
Up to three transmitters on Channel 1
-
Up to three transmitters on Channel 2
-
Up to six transmitters total
Additional transmitters are sold separately.

This makes the system useful for gates requiring multiple monitored sensing edges on leading, trailing, or other identified entrapment zones.
Transmitters sharing a channel report through that channel’s output. Channel assignments must match the operator’s required safety functions.
Before expanding an existing system, confirm the receiver model, transmitter revision, and available channel capacity. Do not assume older and “C” revision components are interchangeable without manufacturer confirmation.
Improved RF Reliability
RBand uses bidirectional communication between the transmitter and receiver.
During programming, the receiver searches for a suitable RF channel, while automatic transmitter power adjustment helps maintain communication in environments with radio interference.
These features support use in commercial gate installations where other wireless equipment may be present. Correct antenna placement and installation remain important.
Position the receiver antenna according to the manufacturer’s instructions so communication is maintained throughout the gate’s travel.
Common Applications
Suitable for compatible installations involving:
-
Sliding gates
-
Swing gates
-
Commercial automated gates
-
Industrial gates
-
Parking facility gates
-
Apartment and HOA gates
-
Warehouse entrances
-
Secured commercial facilities
-
Vehicle access-control systems
The number and location of sensing edges must be determined for the individual installation. A single sensing edge should not be assumed to protect every entrapment zone.
UL 325 Applications
The RBand system is designed for monitored entrapment-protection applications. Miller Edge identifies it for compatible gate operators meeting the monitored-device requirements introduced in January 2016.
The system is a UL 325 Recognized Component. Installing it does not, by itself, establish compliance of the complete gate installation.
Use compatible equipment, follow the operator’s approved safety-device requirements, and retain any other required entrapment-protection devices.

Dispatch is when the order leaves the fulfillment location; delivery timing also depends on the destination and shipping service.
Important Safety Information
This system is part of an entrapment-protection system and must be professionally installed and tested.
Disconnect operator power, including battery-backup power where fitted, before wiring or servicing equipment.
After installation, activate every connected sensing edge and confirm that the gate operator stops and/or reverses as required by its manufacturer. Verify wireless communication throughout travel and test the required monitoring and fault response.
Never bypass or disable required monitored safety devices. Do not return the gate to automatic service while a safety fault remains unresolved.
