#48 / #65 Roller Chain Offset Link – Half Link
#48 / #65 Roller Chain Offset Link – Half Link
This offset link, commonly called a half link, helps adjust the length of a #48 / #65 roller chain when an odd number of chain pitches is needed. It is a repair and assembly component for compatible chain-driven garage door operators and hoists.
PRODUCT DETAILS
• Part type: Offset roller chain link
• Chain size: #48, also listed as #65
• Common name: Half link
• Purpose: Allows an odd number of chain pitches in an assembled chain
COMPATIBILITY
Match the link to #48 / #65 roller chain and verify the existing chain’s dimensions before ordering. Check the operator or hoist instructions to confirm that an offset link is appropriate for the drive. This link is not a substitute for a standard master link when the chain can be connected without an offset.
INSTALLATION & SAFETY
Disconnect power and secure the door before servicing the chain. Install the link according to the equipment instructions, then check the connection, sprocket alignment, chain tension, and guards before operating the door. Offset links can reduce a chain assembly’s load capacity, so follow the equipment manufacturer’s requirements for the application.
