Product Description

The Nice/Linear Multi-Code 307010 is a compact one-button remote transmitter designed to operate one compatible garage door, automatic gate or commercial door receiver.

This micro-size remote uses the traditional Multi-Code fixed-code system operating at 300 MHz. Programming is completed by matching the remote’s internal 10-position DIP-switch pattern to the DIP-switch pattern inside the existing receiver or working remote.

The molded key-ring opening makes the transmitter easy to carry on a keychain, while its compact housing also allows it to be mounted inside a vehicle using a compatible hook-and-loop strip.

This is a 300 MHz, 10-DIP-switch remote. It is not a universal learn-button or rolling-code remote.

Features

  • Nice/Linear Multi-Code model 307010
  • Also identified as model 3070 or MCS307010
  • One-button, one-channel remote transmitter
  • Controls one compatible garage door or gate receiver
  • 300 MHz radio frequency
  • Ten-position DIP-switch programming
  • 1,024 possible fixed-code combinations
  • Red test and operation LED
  • Compact micro-size housing
  • Molded opening for attachment to a key ring
  • Easy access to the battery and coding switches
  • Powered by one 12V A23 alkaline battery
  • No wiring required

The manufacturer identifies the 3070 as a one-channel micro transmitter with a 12V battery, 300 MHz operation and 1,024 DIP-switch code combinations.

How It Works

Pressing the remote button sends a 300 MHz radio signal containing the code selected by the ten internal DIP switches.

The connected receiver will activate only when its DIP-switch pattern matches the pattern inside the remote. Even one incorrectly positioned switch may prevent the remote from operating the door or gate.

This model does not pair through a learn button. The switches must be manually matched.

Compatibility & Fitment

Compatible with:

  • 300 MHz Multi-Code garage-door receivers
  • 300 MHz Multi-Code gate receivers
  • Nice/Linear Multi-Code receivers using ten DIP switches
  • Linear 109950 receiver
  • Linear 302850 receiver
  • Existing Multi-Code systems using the same 300 MHz frequency and ten-position fixed-code format

Important Matching Notes

This remote is not universal.

Before ordering, confirm that the existing receiver or original remote has:

  • 300 MHz operating frequency
  • Ten DIP switches
  • Multi-Code fixed-code technology
  • One matching receiver channel

This remote is not directly compatible with:

  • 310 MHz receivers
  • 315 MHz receivers
  • 318 MHz receivers
  • 390 MHz receivers
  • MegaCode rolling-code systems
  • LiftMaster Security+ systems
  • LiftMaster Security+ 2.0 or Security+ 3.0 systems
  • Genie Intellicode systems
  • Operators requiring learn-button programming

Do not order based only on the remote’s appearance. Check the frequency label and DIP-switch configuration before purchasing.

Common Uses

  • Replacing a lost or damaged Multi-Code remote
  • Adding another remote to an existing gate system
  • Providing access to an apartment or community gate
  • Controlling one garage door
  • Controlling one commercial door or automatic gate
  • Carrying a compact remote on a key ring
  • Replacing an older compatible 300 MHz fixed-code transmitter

The remote has a molded opening for attachment to a customer-supplied key ring.

Programming Instructions

  1. Open the remote housing by inserting a small coin into the case slot and gently twisting it.
  2. Locate the ten numbered DIP switches inside the remote.
  3. Locate the DIP switches inside the existing receiver or working remote.
  4. Set switches 1 through 10 in the new remote to exactly the same ON and OFF positions.
  5. Confirm the battery is installed with the correct polarity.
  6. Reassemble the remote housing.
  7. Stand a safe distance from the door or gate and test operation.

The official instructions specify that the transmitter and receiver must use the same ten-switch code; a difference in even one switch will prevent operation.

Battery Replacement

The 307010 uses one 12V A23 alkaline battery, also identified as an Eveready A23 or equivalent.

Replace the battery when:

  • The red LED becomes dim
  • The red LED does not illuminate
  • Operating range becomes noticeably shorter
  • The remote operates intermittently

Observe the battery polarity marked inside the remote housing.

Safety Warning

Program and test the remote only when the garage door or gate is fully visible and the travel area is clear of people, vehicles and other obstructions.

Keep remote controls away from children. Never allow children to operate or play with an automatic garage door or gate system.

After programming, verify that all required photo eyes, reversing devices and entrapment-protection systems operate correctly.
