LiftMaster 089098EZ Cast-Iron Hood EZ Mounting Bracket

The LiftMaster 089098EZ is a heavy-duty cast-iron mounting bracket designed to install compatible side-mounted commercial operators on the end bracket of a rolling steel door or grille. The EZ version includes an adapter plate that helps hold the mounting bolts in position during operator installation.

Compatibility

Designed for compatible LiftMaster side-mounted commercial operators, including select:

• J jackshaft operators

• H hoist operators

• MGJ medium-duty operators

• GH gearhead hoist operators

• DJ and DH operator configurations where specified

Compatibility depends on operator size, horsepower, door end-bracket construction, mounting-hole pattern, shaft location and required drive alignment. Some bracket references exclude GH 3 HP configurations; check the operator installation manual before ordering.

This bracket should not be selected solely because the operator is a LiftMaster J, H or GH model.

How It Works

The bracket creates a rigid operator-mounting surface at the end of the rolling-door barrel. The operator is secured to the bracket and aligned with the door shaft so the drive sprockets and roller chain can transmit power without side loading or misalignment.

Operator, sprockets, drive chain and structural door hardware are not included.

Installation & Safety

The rolling-door end bracket and supporting structure must be capable of carrying the operator’s weight and operating forces. Installation should be completed by a qualified commercial-door technician.

Maintain correct shaft and sprocket alignment, use properly rated fasteners and install the required chain guard. Do not attach the operator to unsupported sheet-metal hood material. Test the door balance, limits, brake, manual operation and safety devices before returning the system to service.
