The Guardian 4280V CORE Series Garage Door Opener delivers powerful and dependable performance for residential sectional garage doors. Its 3/4 HP AC motor, dual motion-activated lighting, ClearCom® radio system and lifetime motor warranty make it an excellent choice for heavier residential garage doors and demanding daily use.
The 4280V includes a built-in Beam Smart Port. Add the optional Guardian V3 Beam Smart Controller for smartphone operation, real-time door alerts, activity monitoring and automatic closing features.

Rail Required
A compatible Guardian rail is required and sold separately. Depending on the installation, the 4280V can be paired with an appropriate:

I-beam rail
Choose the rail according to the garage-door height, required drive type and installation conditions. The power head cannot operate the garage door without a compatible rail assembly.
This head-only model should not be confused with Guardian 4280V packages that include a specific 12-foot or 14-foot I-beam rail.
Three-Button ClearCom Remote Controls
Each included three-button remote can operate up to three compatible Guardian garage door openers. ClearCom technology transmits across 303/390 MHz dual frequencies to provide dependable operation in areas with radio-frequency interference.
The receiver can store up to 20 remote controls and wireless keypad codes.
Optional Smartphone Control
The built-in Beam Smart Port accepts the optional Guardian V3 Beam Smart Controller. Adding the V3 enables compatible features including:

California Sales Restriction
The Guardian 4280V does not include or support a compliant battery-backup system. California Health and Safety Code §19892 prohibits the sale, offer for sale or installation of residential automatic garage door openers without battery backup.
This product is not available for sale or shipment to California.
Installation and Safety
Professional installation is strongly recommended. Before installation, confirm that the garage door is properly balanced and that all springs, cables, rollers, tracks, drums, hinges and brackets are in safe operating condition.
The Guardian photo-eye safety sensors must be properly installed, aligned and tested. The opener will not close the garage door normally if the photo-eye system is missing or misaligned. Never allow children to operate or play with the opener, remote controls, wall console or wireless keypad.
