APPLICATION & COMPATIBILITY
For compatible sectional garage doors equipped with extension springs, lift cables, and pulleys. Match the replacement to the door’s actual weight, spring dimensions, end configuration, and pulley arrangement.
In a standard two-spring residential system, a matched pair of 150 lb extension springs is selected for a 150 lb door—not a 300 lb door. One spring should not be used alone to support the entire door.
The 27/48 designation identifies a nominal 27-inch relaxed spring length with 48 inches of stretch. It does not mean the fully stretched spring measures 48 inches.
This spring is not a direct replacement for a 25/42 spring used on a 7-foot-high door or for a torsion spring. Do not select a replacement by color alone.
REPLACEMENT NOTES
Replacing both extension springs together helps maintain balanced lifting force and avoids pairing a new spring with a fatigued spring. Have the pulleys, lift cables, safety cables, and mounting hardware inspected during replacement.

Garage door springs and related hardware are under high tension. Improper installation, adjustment, or removal can cause serious injury or death. Installation and service should be performed by a trained garage door technician.
