B165 165°F Fusible Link – 10 lb Load for Fire Door Release Systems
The B165 Fusible Link is a heat-activated release component designed for fire-door and related automatic-closing systems.
The link is designed to separate when exposed to approximately 165°F (74°C), releasing the connected mechanism so the fire-door closing system can operate as designed.
Its compact size and 10 lb maximum pull rating make it suitable for compatible sash-chain and fire-door release assemblies requiring a B165-style fusible link.

How It Works
The B165 is installed as part of a compatible mechanical fire-door release system. Under normal temperatures, the link holds the release mechanism in position.
When the surrounding temperature reaches the link's rated activation temperature of approximately 165°F, the fusible element separates. This releases the connected mechanism so the fire door can close according to the design of the fire-door system.
Common Applications
Suitable for compatible:
-
Rolling fire doors
-
Commercial fire-door systems
-
Automatic-closing door mechanisms
-
Sash-chain release assemblies
-
Mechanical fire-door release systems
-
Industrial and commercial door installations
Important Compatibility Information
Always match the replacement fusible link to the temperature rating, load rating, dimensions, and requirements of the original fire-door system.
The B165 is rated for a maximum pull/load of 10 lb. Do not substitute it for a higher-load fusible link such as a 30 lb version unless specifically permitted by the door or release-system manufacturer.
Safety
Fusible links are components of life-safety systems. Installation, replacement, testing, and adjustment should be performed in accordance with the fire-door manufacturer's instructions and applicable fire and building codes.
Do not paint, coat, modify, bend, solder, or otherwise alter the fusible link. Never install a fusible link with a different temperature or load rating simply because it physically fits.
After replacement, verify that the complete fire-door release and closing system operates correctly.
