### What Is It Used For?

The 39165R is the primary interior wall control for a compatible Genie Series II garage door opener.

From the console, the user can:

- Open the garage door
- Close the garage door
- Turn the opener light on or off
- Activate the Sure-Lock security feature

It is commonly used to replace a damaged, worn, or discontinued original Genie wall console.

### Sure-Lock Security Feature

The Genie Sure-Lock function provides additional security when desired.

When Sure-Lock is activated, compatible remote controls and wireless keypads are disabled so the garage door cannot normally be opened from outside using those devices.

The wall console can still be used according to the opener’s designed Sure-Lock operation.
