6" Torsion Spring Cone 2-Piece Set – Left-Hand Wound, 1-1/4" Bore

This two-piece cone set is designed for compatible left-hand-wound torsion springs with a 6-inch inside diameter. It includes one winding cone and one stationary cone for assembling one torsion spring on a compatible 1-1/4-inch shaft.

Compatibility

Use only with a left-hand-wound torsion spring measuring 6 inches across the inside diameter and a compatible 1-1/4-inch torsion shaft.

Confirm the spring’s inside diameter, wind direction, wire size and shaft diameter before ordering. This set is not interchangeable with the 1-inch-bore version or a right-hand-wound cone set.

Installation and Safety

Torsion springs store extreme mechanical energy. Cone installation, spring assembly and winding should be performed by a trained garage-door professional using correctly sized winding bars.

Never use screwdrivers, punches or improvised rods for winding. Inspect the torsion shaft, spring anchor bracket, bearings, fasteners and related hardware before returning the door to service.
