This winding cone is designed for compatible left-hand-wound torsion springs with a 5-7/8-inch inside diameter. The 1-1/4-inch bore fits a matching torsion shaft, and the winding-bar openings allow the spring to be properly tensioned.

Compatibility
Use only with a left-hand-wound torsion spring measuring 5-7/8 inches across the inside diameter and a compatible 1-1/4-inch torsion shaft.
Confirm the spring’s inside diameter, wind direction, wire size and shaft diameter before ordering. This cone is not interchangeable with an OHD-style cone or a right-hand-wound winding cone.

Installation and Safety
Torsion-spring installation and winding should be completed by a trained garage-door technician using winding bars that fit the cone correctly.
Never use screwdrivers, punches or extensions as substitutes for winding bars. Confirm that the set screws securely engage the shaft and test the door’s balance and travel after installation.
