Inspect the pulley, lifting cable, springs, containment cables, and supporting hardware during service. Replace any worn, bent, cracked, or heavily corroded components.
Extension-spring hardware can remain under substantial tension. Have a qualified garage door technician secure the door and safely release spring tension before removing the existing fork.
After installation, confirm that the pulley rotates freely and the fork does not contact the track or other hardware during the full door travel.
