3-3/4" Torsion Spring Universal Winding Cone – 1-1/4" Bore

This universal winding cone is designed for compatible torsion springs with a 3-3/4-inch inside diameter and torsion systems using a 1-1/4-inch shaft. Its winding-bar openings allow the spring to be tensioned, while the set screws secure the cone to the shaft.

Compatibility

Use with a compatible 3-3/4-inch-ID torsion spring and a 1-1/4-inch torsion shaft. Confirm the spring’s wire size, shaft diameter and complete hardware configuration before ordering.

This winding cone is installed on the adjustable end of the spring. It does not replace the stationary cone installed at the spring-anchor end.

Installation and Safety

Garage-door torsion springs store dangerous mechanical energy. Installation and winding should be performed by a qualified garage-door technician using correctly sized winding bars.

Do not use screwdrivers, punches or undersized rods as winding tools. Verify that the set screws securely engage the shaft and inspect the complete counterbalance system before operating the door.
