3-1/2" Torsion Spring Winding Cone – Left-Hand Wound

This Raynor-style winding cone is designed for compatible left-hand-wound torsion springs with a 3-1/2-inch inside diameter. It provides the winding-bar openings and set-screw connection required to tension the spring and secure it to the torsion shaft.

Compatibility

Use only with a compatible 3-1/2-inch-ID, left-hand-wound torsion spring using Raynor-style fittings.

Confirm the spring’s inside diameter, wind direction, wire size, shaft diameter and existing cone style before ordering. This cone is not interchangeable with a right-hand-wound cone or fittings made for a different overhead-door system.

Installation and Safety

Torsion-spring winding and adjustment should be performed by a trained garage-door technician using properly sized winding bars.

Never loosen the cone’s set screws without first controlling the spring. Inspect the shaft, bearings, spring anchor bracket and associated hardware, then test the door’s balance and travel before normal operation.
