Open / Close Operation

The PBS-2 provides two separate operator commands:

• OPEN – momentarily activates the operator's open circuit

• CLOSE – momentarily activates the operator's close circuit

Both buttons use normally-open contacts that close only while the button is pressed.

The exact operating behavior depends on the connected operator and its control-board configuration.

Fully Guarded Buttons

The recessed button design helps reduce accidental activation caused by contact with tools, clothing, equipment, or nearby objects.

Important: This is a 2-button OPEN / CLOSE station.

Some commercial operators require a dedicated normally-closed STOP circuit and therefore require a 3-button OPEN / CLOSE / STOP station instead.

Interior NEMA 1 Enclosure

The PBS-2 carries a NEMA 1 rating and is intended for indoor general-purpose installations.

It is not intended for exterior, wet, wash-down, or weather-exposed locations requiring a NEMA 3R, NEMA 4, or similar weather-resistant enclosure.

Important Installation Note

Disconnect operator power before installation or servicing.

Wire the control station according to the garage door or gate operator manufacturer's wiring diagram. After installation, test OPEN and CLOSE operation along with all required entrapment-protection devices before returning the system to normal service.

This control station is an activation device and does not replace required monitored photo eyes, sensing edges, light curtains, or other safety equipment.
