The EMX WEL-200K connects a compatible resistive safety edge to a gate or commercial door operator through a monitored wireless link. It eliminates the moving cable between the edge-mounted transmitter and the operator-side receiver, helping simplify installations where routing a coil cord or retracting reel is difficult.
This kit includes one WEL-200T transmitter and one WEL-200R receiver. The receiver supports up to four transmitters, allowing expansion to four separate safety edges with additional transmitters.

HOW IT WORKS
The sensing edge connects to the battery-powered transmitter on the moving gate or door. The receiver mounts near the operator and connects to its power supply and safety inputs.
When an edge activates, the transmitter communicates that condition to the receiver. Separate open and close outputs allow the installer to assign edges to the appropriate direction of protection.

COMPATIBILITY & MONITORING
The transmitter requires a sensing edge with a built-in terminating resistor. Compatible 8.2K and 10K resistive edges fall within its specified input range.
The receiver supports operator connections using:
• Normally closed relay monitoring
• 10K resistive monitoring
• Compatible four-wire pulsed monitoring
These are operator-side output options. They do not mean the transmitter accepts an ordinary normally closed or normally open edge.
Non-resistive edges do not work with this system. Do not substitute a pneumatic switch, diode-capacitor edge, or unmonitored contact edge.
Verify the exact operator model, control-board revision, approved safety-device list, and monitoring requirements before ordering. A matching voltage or input label alone does not establish compatibility.
EXPANDING THE SYSTEM
The included transmitter connects one sensing edge. Add a separate WEL-200T transmitter for each additional edge, up to four transmitters total.
Do not connect multiple sensing edges to one transmitter.

Safety edges, additional transmitters, and receiver-to-operator wiring are sold separately.
INSTALLATION NOTES
Mount the receiver outside the operator enclosure with clear line of sight to every transmitter throughout gate or door travel. Keep its antenna area clear of metal obstructions.
Follow EMX’s mounting instructions, orient cable entries to prevent water intrusion, and verify communication before completing installation.
Use the battery type specified for the WEL-200T. Do not assume batteries from another brand’s wireless edge system are interchangeable.
SAFETY WARNINGS
Installation and testing must be performed by qualified personnel. Disconnect operator power and battery backup before wiring.
Configure the correct monitoring method and open/close assignments. Test every connected edge, required fault response, and full travel cycle before returning the system to service.
Never bypass monitoring or defeat a fault indication. The WEL-200K transmits safety-edge signals; obstruction detection requires a correctly installed, compatible sensing edge.
