  This is a right-wind torsion spring. Right-wind and left-wind springs are not interchangeable. Always verify the actual wind direction of the spring before replacing an existing spring.   The 2.625" inside diameter must also match the torsion shaft and spring assembly requirements. This spring should not be substituted for a 1.75", 2", 3.75", or other inside-diameter spring unless the complete spring calculation and hardware setup confirm compatibility.

  Important Matching Notes

  Garage door torsion springs must be matched to the door, not just to the old spring visually.
