SSC DuraMaster® .2187" × 2.00" ID × 26.00" Extended-Cycle Torsion Spring – RW – White Wire Code
🇺🇸 Made in USA
Choose an extended-cycle replacement for a compatible garage door counterbalance system with this SSC DuraMaster® right-wound torsion spring. It combines .2187" wire, a 2.00" inside diameter, and a 26.00" relaxed spring-body length, with winding and stationary cones installed.
SSC’s DuraMaster manufacturing process is designed to deliver up to 1.5 times the cycle life of traditional oil-tempered springs. This offers an extended-life option when the spring’s dimensions and operating characteristics match the door’s requirements.

Extended-Cycle Performance
DuraMaster’s extended-cycle feature concerns fatigue life under the applicable operating conditions. It does not make an incorrectly sized spring suitable for the door or increase the door-weight capacity of an otherwise equivalent counterbalance configuration.
The “up to 1.5×” statement is a comparative manufacturer claim, not a guaranteed number of cycles or years. Actual service life depends on correct selection, operating stress, daily use, installation, environment, and maintenance.
One cycle is one complete opening and closing of the garage door.
Construction & Included Components
This spring is supplied with installed winding and stationary cones for a compatible torsion assembly. The protective finish does not eliminate the need for inspection or maintenance.
The package includes one spring with cones. A companion spring, shaft, cable drums, cables, bearings, brackets, and installation tools are separate items. Existing components should be inspected before reuse.
Common Applications
For professional replacement or an extended-cycle upgrade where the verified requirements match this right-wound configuration.
The catalog spring rate of 26.6 IPPT describes the change in torque per turn. It is not a door-weight rating and must be interpreted with the drum geometry, operating range, and complete counterbalance design.
Compatibility & Measurement
Confirm .2187" wire, 2.00" ID, 26.00" relaxed body length, and right-hand wind. The wire dimension is .2187"; shortened product references may display .218".
The 26.00" length excludes both cones and describes the relaxed coil body. Do not rely on the length of an installed spring under winding tension. Have a technician confirm dimensions safely.
The 2.00" ID is the opening inside the coils—not the torsion shaft diameter. Verify cone bore, shaft fit, stationary mounting, and available assembly space separately.
Wind Direction & Color Identification
RW identifies the coil direction. White is the wire-size identification code; it does not describe the overall coating color or establish door-weight capacity.
An extended-cycle designation does not replace the need to confirm wind and dimensions. A left-wound spring or another DuraMaster size is not an interchangeable replacement.
Pairing, Drums & Lift Configuration
On a two-spring door, have both springs evaluated when planning an extended-cycle replacement. An older companion spring retains its existing fatigue history even if the other spring is upgraded.
The replacement combination must meet the door’s required torque and spring rate. Added door weight, different drums, or lift conversions require a sizing review. High-lift and vertical-lift systems need application-specific calculations.
Installation, Maintenance & Safety
Installation and adjustment must be performed by a qualified garage door technician using proper winding bars and manufacturer procedures. Never loosen loaded cones, anchors, drums, or bottom cable brackets.
After installation, inspect supporting hardware and verify door balance, cable operation, and opener safety functions. Follow the door manufacturer’s maintenance guidance and arrange service if the door becomes heavy, uneven, or unusually noisy.
Order this SSC DuraMaster right-wound spring after confirming its dimensions, spring rate, and suitability for your door’s counterbalance system.
