This round PVC spring filler installs inside compatible large-diameter torsion springs to help reduce spring movement, vibration and chatter during garage-door operation. It is suitable for custom-length installations where a full 8-foot or 12-foot section is not required.

Compatibility

Use with compatible torsion springs measuring between 5-1/4 and 6 inches across the inside diameter and installed on a 1-inch or 1-1/4-inch torsion shaft.

Confirm the spring’s inside diameter, shaft size, required filler length and available clearance before ordering. This filler is not intended for standard small-diameter residential torsion springs.

Installation and Safety

Measure the required filler length before cutting. The filler must fit inside the spring without interfering with the winding cone, stationary cone or other torsion-system components.

Torsion springs operate under extreme tension. Installation should be performed by a trained garage-door professional, and the spring must be safely controlled before any torsion-system components are loosened or adjusted.
