Miller Edge RB-P-K10C RBand Monitored Wireless Door Edge Kit – 10K/T2 Input, Pulsed Output

The Miller Edge RB-P-K10C RBand kit provides a monitored wireless connection between a compatible 10K/T2 sensing edge and a commercial door operator. It replaces the moving coil cord or retracting reel normally used to carry the safety-edge signal from the door to the operator.

The battery-powered transmitter mounts on the moving door and connects to the sensing edge. The receiver mounts near the operator and connects to its power and approved safety-input terminals. When the edge activates, the system communicates that condition to the operator.

IMPORTANT: Not compatible with LiftMaster Logic 4 operators.

How It Works

A compatible 10K/T2 sensing edge connects directly to the RB-TX10C transmitter mounted on the moving door.

The transmitter communicates wirelessly with the RB-P-RX10C receiver positioned near the operator. The receiver supplies the appropriate signal to the operator through its approved interface.

The wireless connection replaces the moving cable run between transmitter and receiver. Local wiring is still required between the edge and transmitter, and between the receiver and operator.

This kit communicates a sensing-edge signal; it does not detect obstructions without a separately installed sensing edge.

Compatibility

Requires a Miller Edge 10K/T2 monitored sensing edge and an operator approved for the receiver’s output configuration. T2 edges are identified by a blue band.

Not compatible with LiftMaster Logic 4 operators.

Verify the exact operator model, control-board version, and approved monitoring method before ordering. A matching brand name or supply voltage alone does not establish compatibility.

Do not substitute a T3 diode-capacitor edge, 8.2K edge, pneumatic switch, or ordinary non-monitored contact for the specified 10K/T2 sensing edge.

Pulsed vs. Normally Open Output

For installations requiring monitored protection, use the approved monitored output configuration.

The receiver’s normally open contact output is intended for appropriate non-monitored applications. A normally open contact connection alone does not provide monitored protection and must not be used to bypass an operator’s monitoring requirements.

Use the exact connection diagram specified for the receiver and operator.

Choosing the Correct RBand Version

Select the system by both the sensing-edge termination and the operator’s required safety input.

A product’s “gate” or “door” description alone does not establish compatibility.

Required Separately

The door operator, sensing edge, and edge mounting channel are not included.

Multiple Edge Capability

The receiver supports up to three compatible RBand transmitters on one channel. One transmitter is included with this kit; additional compatible transmitters are purchased separately.

The transmitters share the receiver channel. They do not provide three independently identified operator safety inputs.

When expanding an installation, confirm the transmitter model and revision before ordering. Do not assume that all older RBand transmitters are interchangeable with the supplied “C” revision equipment.

Wireless Placement and Reliability

Automatic channel switching, bidirectional communication, and transmitter power adjustment help maintain the wireless link.

Position the equipment according to Miller Edge’s instructions and maintain the required signal path throughout door movement.

Pair the devices and verify signal strength before completing installation. A successful test with the door stationary does not confirm reliable communication through the entire operating cycle.

Batteries & Maintenance

Use only the specified two 3.6V AA lithium batteries. Standard 1.5V AA batteries are not compatible.

Inspect the transmitter enclosure, mountings, sensing-edge cable, and connection points during maintenance. Check diagnostic indicators and investigate battery or communication warnings promptly.

After battery replacement or service, test sensing-edge activation, wireless communication, and the operator’s response.
