#50 Roller Chain Master Link – Connecting Link for Door and Gate Drive Chains
This #50 master link joins the ends of compatible #50 roller chain to complete a drive-chain loop. It provides a removable connection for chain installation, replacement, and maintenance on equipment that specifies #50 chain.
Suitable applications include compatible garage door operator, gate operator, and other roller-chain drive systems.
PRODUCT DETAILS
• Product type: Master link / connecting link
• Compatible chain size: #50
• Matching chain pitch: 5/8" (0.625")
• Matching chain inside width: 3/8" (0.375")
• Function: Connects two compatible roller-chain ends
These measurements identify the matching chain size, not the master link’s overall outside dimensions.
COMPATIBILITY
Use with compatible #50 roller chain and follow the chain and equipment manufacturer’s connecting-link requirements.
Before ordering, confirm:
• Chain size specified in the equipment manual
• Chain pitch and inside width
• Pin fit and connecting-link configuration
• Manufacturer’s load and operating requirements
#50 chain uses a 5/8" pitch. This master link is not interchangeable with #40 or #41 links, which fit chains with a 1/2" pitch.
Match the chain specification rather than the operator brand alone. This link connects roller drive chain, not the loop-style hand chain used to operate a manual door hoist.
MASTER LINK VS. OFFSET LINK
A master link connects compatible chain ends. An offset link, also called a half link, allows a chain-length adjustment of one pitch. Choose the link type required for the installation.
INSTALLATION NOTES
Disconnect equipment power, secure the door or gate, and relieve chain tension according to the manufacturer’s instructions before installation.
Inspect the chain and sprockets for wear or damage. Install the connecting link and retaining components as specified, then verify that the joint articulates freely. Set chain tension and alignment correctly and reinstall guards before operation.
SAFETY
Keep hands, clothing, and tools clear of chain and sprocket pinch points. Never install or adjust a link while the equipment is running.
Do not use a new master link to patch a severely worn, stretched, or damaged chain. Have a qualified technician inspect systems with binding, damaged sprockets, or recurring chain failures.
