#41 Roller Chain Master Link – Connecting Link for Door and Gate Drive Chains
This #41 master link joins the ends of compatible #41 roller chain, creating a continuous chain loop for power transmission. It provides a removable connection for chain installation, replacement, and maintenance on equipment that specifies #41 chain.
Suitable applications include garage door operator and gate operator drive systems using compatible #41 roller chain.
PRODUCT DETAILS
• Product type: Master link / connecting link
• Compatible chain size: #41
• Matching chain pitch: 1/2" between adjacent pin centers
• Matching chain inside width: 1/4"
• Function: Joins two compatible roller-chain ends
The measurements above identify the matching chain size, not the master link’s overall outside dimensions.
COMPATIBILITY
Use with compatible #41 roller chain and follow the chain and equipment manufacturer’s connecting-link requirements.
Before ordering, confirm:
• Chain size marked on the existing chain or specified in the equipment manual
• Chain pitch and inside width
• Pin fit and connecting-link style
• Equipment manufacturer’s replacement requirements
#40 and #41 chain both have a 1/2" pitch, but their widths and other dimensions differ. Do not select a master link by pitch alone or substitute a #40 link for a required #41 link.
This connecting link is for roller drive chain. It is not a connector for the loop-style hand chain used to operate a manual door hoist.
MASTER LINK VS. OFFSET LINK
A master link connects compatible chain ends. An offset link, also called a half link, changes the chain length by one pitch. Select the link type required for the repair.
INSTALLATION NOTES
Disconnect equipment power and relieve chain tension according to the manufacturer’s instructions before installation.
Inspect the chain and sprockets for wear or damage. Fit the connecting link and its retaining components exactly as specified, then check that the joint articulates freely. Set chain tension and alignment to the equipment manufacturer’s requirements and reinstall guards before operation.
SAFETY
Secure the door or gate against unexpected movement before servicing. Keep hands clear of chain and sprocket pinch points.
Do not use a new master link to patch a severely worn, stretched, or damaged chain. Have a qualified technician service systems with damaged sprockets, binding, or recurring chain failures.
