How It Works

The torsion spring provides the counterbalance force required to lift and lower a sectional door safely and smoothly.

As the door closes, the spring winds and stores mechanical energy. When the door opens, the spring releases that energy to counterbalance the weight of the door and reduce the lifting load placed on the opener.
