BD Loops BD-LG2 Loop Goop is a professional-grade, two-component polyurethane sealant designed specifically for protecting saw-cut inductive vehicle detection loops installed in asphalt and concrete.

The winter-blend, quick-cure formula creates a tough, waterproof seal around loop wire while resisting moisture, automotive fluids, de-icing chemicals, and harsh outdoor conditions.

BD-LG2 is formulated to cure even in cold and freezing temperatures, making it an excellent choice for professional gate, commercial door, parking, and access-control installers who work year-round.

Typical Gel Time

Gel time varies based on the temperature of the sealant and pavement:

• 23°F (-5°C): Approximately 120 minutes

• 41°F (5°C): Approximately 45 minutes

• 59°F (15°C): Approximately 15 minutes

• Above 59°F (15°C): Less than approximately 15 minutes

This makes BD-LG2 particularly useful for installations that must be completed during cold-weather conditions.

Actual coverage depends on saw-cut width and depth.

3/16" Wide Saw Cut

• 1-1/4" deep: approximately 18 ft per cartridge

• 1-1/2" deep: approximately 14 ft per cartridge

1/4" Wide Saw Cut

• 1-1/4" deep: approximately 13.5 ft per cartridge

• 1-1/2" deep: approximately 10.5 ft per cartridge

Using a narrower 3/16" saw-cut groove can significantly reduce the amount of sealant required.

Chemical & Weather Resistance

BD-LG2 forms a durable protective seal around the loop installation and provides resistance to many substances commonly found on driveways, parking lots, and commercial roadways, including:

• De-icing salts

• Potassium acetate de-icing solutions

Application

BD-LG2 is supplied in a 600 mL dual-component cartridge.

A compatible 600 mL dual-cartridge dispensing gun is required for application.

For best results:

1. Clean the saw-cut groove thoroughly.

2. Remove dust, debris, standing water, and ice.

3. Attach the supplied static mixing tip.

4. Install the cartridge into a compatible dual-cartridge dispensing gun.

5. Purge the initial material until both components are properly mixed.

6. Apply the sealant evenly into the saw-cut groove.

7. Follow BD Loops installation instructions for proper fill depth and curing.
