The LiftMaster SRDRKP combines a keypad with proximity, smart-card and Bluetooth mobile-credential reading for a compatible access-control system. It supports myQ Community mobile access and documented card formats, giving a property several ways to authorize residents or visitors at the same entrance. The reader communicates with the access controller; it is not a standalone gate operator or a universal wireless garage-door keypad. Confirm controller compatibility, credential formats, power and account configuration before selecting it for a new or existing property.

Compatibility — Models, Versions and Exclusions

Model or selection point Compatibility requirement
CAPXLV / CAPXM / CAPXS / CAP2D Manufacturer identifies these controller families; verify the installed door-control-board configuration.
myQ Community mobile access Requires supported mobile credentials and properly configured service and user permissions.
125kHz credentials Supported formats include 26-bit HID, 30-bit, 36-bit LiftMaster and 37-bit.
13.56MHz credentials Manufacturer lists 32-bit MIFARE and 56-bit LiftMaster formats; frequency alone is not sufficient.
KPW250 wireless keypad Different access technology and wiring arrangement; not a plug-for-plug reader replacement.

Plan the Credentials and Controller as One System

A multi-technology reader can support a transition between credential types, but each credential still needs to be recognized and authorized by the access-control system. Before ordering for an existing property, obtain the card or fob format, controller model and intended mobile-access workflow. Do not assume every card operating at the same radio frequency will be accepted.

The reader supports Tap, Touch and Alert mobile modes, and myQ Community can provide guest or one-time PIN workflows. Their usefulness depends on how the property configures permissions and visitor access. Confirm the service requirements and enrollment process before promising residents a particular experience. Installing a reader does not itself create user accounts, assign access schedules or supply a subscription.

Before Ordering

  • Identify the controller and reader-port configuration.
  • Confirm exact card or fob bit formats and mobile-credential requirements.
  • Plan a suitable 5–16V DC power source and manufacturer-approved wiring.
  • Check mounting exposure, visitor reach and the entrance’s required egress arrangements.

Package Contents and Separate Requirements

This offer identifies the keypad smart reader. The power supply is explicitly separate. Do not assume that an access controller, cards, fobs, pedestal, door lock or myQ Community service is included. Confirm the mounting hardware supplied with the current package and identify any additional cabling and enclosure accessories needed for the particular entrance.

Safety Warnings — Read Before Installation or Service

  • WARNING: Access-control changes must preserve required emergency egress and safe door or gate operation. Use a qualified access-control installer.
  • Disconnect the applicable supply before wiring. Do not connect mains voltage to the reader’s low-voltage terminals.
  • Mount the reader where users cannot reach through or stand within a moving gate’s hazard area. Follow the installation instructions and applicable site requirements.
  • Test authorized access, denied credentials, visitor functions and required egress after commissioning. Access authorization does not replace gate entrapment protection.

Related Products and Important Differences

  • KPW250 wireless keypad — compare a separate wireless access method for supported gate receivers; it is not a Wiegand smart reader.
  • LMRRUL monitored photo eye — a separate gate-safety device for approved operators; reader authorization does not provide entrapment protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it open a gate without a controller?

This is a reader for a compatible access system, not a complete standalone gate controller.

Will any 13.56MHz card work?

No. The credential technology, data format and controller configuration must all match.

Is the power supply included?

LiftMaster specifies that the 5–16V DC supply is not included.

Does IP55 mean it can be submerged?

No. Install it within the manufacturer’s environmental and mounting requirements; IP55 is not a submersion rating.
