It connects the opener’s motor sprocket to the screw-drive rail assembly, allowing motor power to rotate the drive system and move the garage door.
A worn or broken coupler may cause the opener motor to run while the screw drive and garage door do not move. Replacing the damaged coupling can restore proper power transfer without replacing the complete opener or rail assembly.

How It Works
The coupler fits between the motor-unit sprocket and the screw-drive rail. As the motor turns, the coupling transfers rotational force to the screw-drive mechanism, which moves the trolley and garage door.
