LiftMaster LMWEKITU Monitored Wireless Edge Kit for Gate Operators

The LiftMaster LMWEKITU provides a monitored wireless connection between compatible LiftMaster resistive safety edges and a supported gate operator. The gate-mounted transmitter connects to the edge sensors with short wires and communicates wirelessly with the receiver at the operator, reducing the need to route wiring between a moving gate and its control system.

Designed for compatible swing and slide gate installations, this kit helps integrate contact-sensitive edge protection at identified entrapment points.

The included transmitter supports up to two compatible edge sensors. Additional transmitters and all safety edge sensors are sold separately.

Compatibility

For use with supported LiftMaster gate operators and LiftMaster monitored resistive edge sensors only. Standard contact-closure edges are not supported.

Confirm that the operator’s installation manual specifically lists LMWEKITU or LMWETXU as an approved monitored entrapment protection accessory before ordering.

The Bluetooth connection is used for safety-edge communication; it does not provide smartphone gate control.

Installation and Maintenance

Maintain a clear line of sight between transmitter and receiver where possible. Metal structures, obstructions, and interference can reduce wireless range.

Use Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA L91 batteries when replacements are required. Test every connected edge after installation and maintain the system according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

• Installation and testing should be performed by a qualified gate technician.
• Disconnect all operator power sources before installation or wiring.
• Never bypass monitored safety inputs or operate a gate with defective protection devices.
• Protect every identified entrapment zone as required by the operator’s installation manual.
• Keep people, vehicles, and objects clear of the moving gate.
• This kit meets UL 325 requirements as a component of a correctly installed compatible system. Installing the kit alone does not establish compliance for the entire gate installation.
