Before ordering, confirm the photo-eye model, reflector dimensions, mounting arrangement, available clearance, and whether this hood is specified for the installation. Photo-eye components that look similar are not necessarily interchangeable.
A reflector hood cannot correct poor sensor alignment, damaged wiring, an incompatible reflector, excessive installation distance, or an incorrectly selected photo-eye system. Inspect and test the complete safety system after installation.
Mount the hood without blocking the sensor’s beam path or interfering with reflector alignment. Installation and testing should be performed by a qualified commercial-door technician. Disconnect power where required and verify that the door responds correctly when the photo-eye beam is interrupted.
