Exterior Key Switch with Stop Button – Open/Close – Surface Mount – NEMA 4
Provide keyed access to a compatible commercial door or gate operator. This exterior control station combines key-operated OPEN and CLOSE commands with a separate STOP button, making it suitable for loading docks, warehouses, service entrances and gated properties.
The center-return mechanism returns the key switch to its neutral position when released. A die-cast aluminum enclosure and tamper-resistant construction help protect the control components in demanding commercial environments.

Compatibility
For commercial door and gate operators that accept the corresponding wired OPEN, CLOSE and STOP control inputs. Confirm the operator’s wiring diagram, contact requirements and control voltage before ordering.
The electrical rating describes the key switch’s contact capacity; it is not a required supply voltage. This station sends control commands and does not power the operator motor directly.
Operation & Keying
The key restricts OPEN and CLOSE commands to keyholders. Door movement after releasing the key depends on the operator’s settings and safety configuration; center return alone does not guarantee that movement stops.
Match the cylinder and keying arrangement when replacing an existing station. Do not assume separately purchased units will use the same key.
Installation Notes
Mount securely using appropriate fittings and seals to preserve the enclosure rating. Follow the station and operator wiring diagrams, and verify all three commands before returning the system to service.
Safety Warnings
Disconnect operator power before installation or servicing. A qualified technician should perform wiring and compatibility checks.
Install within sight of the opening and away from moving components. Keep people and vehicles clear during operation. Never bypass photo eyes, sensing edges, stop circuits or other required safety devices.
The STOP button is an operating control, not an electrical disconnect or a substitute for entrapment protection. Remove and secure the key after use.
