  The 6170H-B includes the Genie wall-mount battery-backup system. When household electrical power fails, the battery system allows the opener to continue operating for a limited period, depending on battery condition, temperature, door weight, door balance, and frequency of use.

  The battery should remain connected to the opener so it can maintain its charge. Like all rechargeable batteries, it eventually requires replacement.

  Safe-T-Pulse Cable Monitoring
