Provide spring-break protection for a compatible commercial torsion assembly with this right-hand-wound spring failure device. When correctly specified and installed, it is intended to arrest shaft rotation following a spring break.

• For a right-hand-wound spring
• Standard application: 1" keyed solid shaft
• 3-3/8" shaft offset
• Maximum torque: 1,850 lb-in per device
• One device required per spring
• Compatible fittings: 1-3/4", 2", 2-5/8", 3-3/4" and 6"
• Limit-switch mounting provision; switch not included
• Sold individually
COMPATIBILITY
Not suitable for duplex springs. An optional extension bracket supports specified alternative offsets. Confirm winding direction, shaft type, fitting dimensions and operating torque. Do not treat the torque rating as a door weight capacity.
INSTALLATION & SAFETY
A qualified technician must select, install and verify the complete system. The device is intended for one-time activation and must be replaced after it operates. Correct the failed spring and inspect the door before restoring service.
