Installation Notes

Close the garage door completely and disconnect electrical power to the garage door opener before beginning installation.

Pull the emergency-release cord to disengage the existing carriage. Disconnect the garage door arm from the carriage and support the arm so it does not fall against the door.

The rail normally must be disconnected from the header bracket briefly so the old carriage can slide off the door end of the rail. Slide the replacement carriage onto the rail with its directional arrow pointing toward the garage door.
