Compatibility & Selection
Confirm the mounting arrangement, drive connection, sprocket and chain requirements, and available clearance before ordering. Similar-looking chain hoists may use different shaft sizes, offsets, or mounting systems.
The 26-foot measurement is the total hand-chain length, not the supported door height. The chain forms a loop, so the usable hanging distance is shorter.
The reduction ratio is not a door-weight rating. Hoist suitability depends on the complete door system and its counterbalance. Do not assume a maximum lifting capacity without the manufacturer’s application guidance.
Installation & Safety
Have a qualified door technician install the hoist and verify the door’s balance, mounting strength, chain alignment, and smooth operation.
Never use the hoist to force a jammed door or compensate for broken springs, damaged guides, or other mechanical problems. Keep hands, loose clothing, and hair away from sprockets and moving chain.
Keep the opening clear while operating the door and secure the hand chain using the specified chain-retaining arrangement when finished. This is a door-operating device, not a general-purpose hoist for lifting people or suspended loads.
