1-Inch Two-Piece Split Shaft Collar for Garage Door Torsion Shafts
This 1-Inch Split Shaft Collar provides a secure clamping point on standard garage-door torsion shafts. Its two-piece design allows the collar to be installed around an existing shaft without sliding it over the end or removing cable drums, bearings or other shaft-mounted components.
The collar uses two clamping screws to apply even pressure around the shaft, helping retain bearings and other components while limiting unwanted axial movement.

Measure the shaft’s outside diameter before ordering. This collar is designed for a 1-inch shaft and is not compatible with 1-1/4-inch shafts.
Split Collar Advantage
Unlike a solid set-screw collar that must slide over the end of a shaft, this two-piece collar separates into two halves. The halves can be positioned around an installed shaft and secured with the included clamping screws.
This design is especially useful when cable drums, bearings, springs or other components make the shaft end difficult to access.
Installation
Position both collar halves around the shaft and install the clamping screws. Tighten the screws gradually and evenly so the collar seats squarely and applies uniform pressure.
Do not use the collar as a substitute for a properly installed bearing, cable drum, spring cone, shaft coupler or structural shaft support.
Safety Notice
Garage-door torsion springs, cables, drums and shafts can remain under extreme tension. Release spring tension according to proper service procedures before removing or repositioning components in the counterbalance system.
Installation and adjustment should be performed by a qualified garage-door technician.
