How It Works

The loop is installed beneath the vehicle travel area and connected to a compatible inductive loop detector. When a vehicle enters the loop's detection field, the detector senses the change in inductance and sends the appropriate signal to the gate operator or access-control system.

Common applications include free-exit loops, safety loops, presence detection, gate activation, and parking access systems.

Important Installation Note

Direct Burial loops are intended to be installed before or during construction of the finished driving surface. For an existing concrete or asphalt surface where a slot will be cut into the pavement, use a BD Loops Saw-Cut Loop instead.

Select the correct loop dimensions and lead-in length for your driveway width, installation layout, and loop detector system before ordering.
